BGSU men’s soccer’s fifth-year goalkeeper Brendan Graves has been named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Defensive Player of the Week. This is the first time in Graves’ illustrious career he has won this honor.
Graves is coming off a big performance against Michigan State, in a match where he made six saves and posted a shutout in the Falcons’ 1-0 win. His clean sheet was the 12th of his career, the 8th one on the road.
The Perrysburg native made four saves in the team’s 4-0 loss to Michigan on Labor Day and also made two stops in the squad’s 4-1 win over IU Indianapolis.
Graves and the Falcons (3-1-0) will return home to Cochrane Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 7, hosting the Butler Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
