Bowling Green tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has added two more weekly awards to his trophy closet, being named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, as well as the East-West Shrine Bowl’s Breakout Offensive Player of the Week.
The Shrine Bowl Breakout award goes to an all-star game eligible offensive player that displayed the most NFL traits for the week
Fannin set both personal and program records in Bowling Green’s 30-27 Homecoming loss to Old Dominion on Sept. 28.
His 188 receiving yards set a new career-high in yards for the third consecutive week.
His second touchdown reception of the day, a 59-yard acrobatic catch-and-run in the third quarter, broke Bowling Green’s record for receiving touchdowns by a tight end in a career.
Fannin Jr. and Bowling Green open their conference schedule on Oct. 5 on the road against the Akron Zips.
