After completing the two-year housing requirement at Bowling Green State University, upperclassmen have the option to look for off-campus housing. Students can look at different resources that BGSU offers to find their perfect living situation. But, it’s recommended to start the search this fall as places fill up quickly.
While looking into different apartments, there are multiple factors to be considered when transitioning from a dorm to housing off campus. Rent, a number of roommates and distance from campus are things to keep in mind before starting the search.
BGSU’s website includes a directory of Bowling Green’s rental agencies that students can choose from when looking for an apartment or house.
Some of the most popular rental agencies in Bowling Green for students include Greenbriar, Inc. and Mecca Management, Inc.
Mecca’s website includes listings of the current academic year that details rates and lease information. There’s also vacancies listed around town to see what is currently available.
Greenbriar also has a large amount of properties available that are located near BGSU’s campus. Students will be able to start leasing with Greenbriar starting Oct. 30.
Other popular off-campus housing choices for students include The Edge and Falcon’s Pointe apartments. These student apartments come fully-furnished and have popular amenities such as a pool and a shuttle that takes students to campus. Both apartments’ websites include applications for students to apply for the next academic year.
