BGSU Votes, a non-partisan and student-led organization, is helping students vote in the upcoming November election by holding several “Walk to the Polls” events beginning Oct. 9.
Students who are registered to vote in Wood County can walk with a BGSU Votes volunteer to the Wood County Board of Elections to cast an early ballot. The goal is to get students involved and prepared to vote.
“Just to get students engaged in the early voting process and make it easy for them to understand how to do that,” said Lyndsey Johns, a graduate assistant in the Marvin Center who assists with the BGSU Votes organization.
Those who would like to participate in the early voting walk to the polls event should meet at the BGSU letters at noon. The walks will take place Monday through Friday, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 9, until Friday, Nov. 1.
