BGSU women’s golf wrapped up fall competitive play yesterday by placing fourth out of a field of thirteen teams at the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational.
The two-day invitational was hosted by Loyola-Chicago and held at the Merit Club, a par-72, 6,041-yard course.
Sophomore Sammie Dolce’s 217-stroke finish (+1) moved her to fourth in program history for the best 54-hole score and tied her for third place individually.
“Special shout out to sophomore Sammie Dolce with her third-place individual performance,” head coach Erin Fahey said. “She showed a lot of poise and grit throughout all three of her rounds.”
Freshman Macie Elzinga concluded her first fall season of competition by finishing tied for 18th.
As a team, BGSU women’s golf has finished top five in three of their four tournament appearances this season.
