The BGSU Graduate Student Senate will hold a professional development day Thursday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. This day will provide valuable professional development opportunities to as many students as possible and take place in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Room 308.
Various sessions that align with the day’s theme of “Pathways to Impact: Shaping Futures and Creating Change” will be provided. Dr. Donald Asher, an internationally recognized author and speaker on the topics of careers and higher education, is set to kick off the day with his keynote speech on “Beginning with the End in Mind”.
Other sessions will discuss the exploration of career paths beyond academia, how to build a professional brand and how to design career paths through intentional decision-making. Attendees will be given the opportunity to network with speakers, panelists, and peers during the networking lunch.
The day’s events will wrap up with closing remarks from Graduate Student Senate President, David Fisher. For more information visit their campus events site.
