BGSU women’s basketball has been selected to finish fourth in the 2024-25 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Preseason Poll, the conference announced early Tuesday afternoon.
Here is the complete poll containing all 12 MAC teams:
1. Ball State (10) – 120 points
2. Kent State (2) – 104 points
3. Buffalo – 98 points
4. Bowling Green – 96 points
5. Toledo – 82 points
T-6. Northern Illinois – 64 points
T-6. Ohio – 64 points
8. Miami – 44 points
9. Akron – 43 points
10. Western Michigan – 34 points
11. Eastern Michigan – 23 points
12. Central Michigan – 20 points
The Falcons received 96 points, above them are Buffalo with 98, the defending MAC Tournament champions, Kent State with 104 and two first-place votes, and on top is Ball State with ten first-place votes and 120 points.
Bowling Green also earned one vote to win the 2024-25 MAC Tournament.
It was also announced that Bowling Green senior guard Amy Velasco and fifth-year forward Erika Porter have been named to the Preseason All-MAC Team.
Velasco earned first team, while Porter was selected to the second team.

Last year, the Falcons finished 16-15 overall with a 10-8 record in the MAC under head coach Fred Chmiel’s first year in charge of the Orange and Brown.
Bowling Green begins their season at the Stroh Center on Nov. 4, hosting Southern Mississippi.
