A man is dead after he was struck and killed by a train Friday, according to the Bowling Green Police Department.
Police said shortly after noon on Dec. 20, a witness contacted police to report that a pedestrian had been struck by a train near Napoleon Road.
Bowling Green Fire Division and the BGPD responded, and upon arriving at the scene, they found a deceased man. The Wood County Coroner’s Office and CSX Transportation were also contacted, according to police.
The incident remains under investigation.
