The City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission will host the 36th annual tribute to Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Friday, Jan 17 at 1:00 p.m. This event will be held at the Wood County District Public Library.
During this event, the Drum Major for Peace Award will be presented to The Brown Bag Food Project. The Drum Major for Peace Award is presented to someone who benefits the BG community and exemplifies the teachings of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Brown Bag Food Project is a local organization committed to ending food insecurity and making sure no one goes hungry.
The tribute will feature a keynote speaker, Shannon Orr, Ph.D., BGSU professor and Director of the Falcon Food Pantry.
