As part of BGSU’s Black History Month celebration, the university is hosting its annual Black Issues Conference in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union on Feb. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The theme of this year’s conference is “Reviving, Renewing, Rebuilding.”
The day-long conference will feature a keynote speech from actor Hill Harper and a celebration of the life and legacy of James Baldwin. The event will focus on highlighting the Black community, honoring BGSU’s black alumni and so much more.
The event’s lead sponsor is the Kuhlin Hub for Career Design and Connections, which will be hosting panels discussing career opportunities and community engagement.
