The City of Bowling Green has selected Deputy Chief Justin White as the next Chief of Police for Bowling Green’s Police Division.
According to a press release from the City of Bowling Green, White’s selection followed the announcement of current Police Chief Tony Hetrick’s retirement. White will assume his new role on May 5, 2025.
White began working for the police division in 2001 and since then has served as a patrol sergeant, detective and patrol officer.
“I am pleased to appoint Justin White as Bowling Green’s next Police Chief,” Bowling Green’s mayor, Mike Aspacher, said in the press release. “Deputy Chief White has prepared exceptionally well for this role and will continue the work of outstanding professional policing in Bowling Green. I am confident that his experience, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the Police Division, City, and Community will uphold the BGPD’s high standards of excellence and accountability, while also ensuring strong collaboration as the community progresses and evolves.”
