BGSU track and field continued their outdoor season traveling to Ball State University’s We Fly Challenge in Muncie, Indiana this past weekend.
The day was fairly quiet for the Falcons on the track, where several competed but none finished higher than Alexsia Davis’ 9th place in the 100m hurdles.
Winning the hammer throw event and placing second in the discus was Trista Fintel, who continued her impressive final season.
Katherine Mendenhall provided the only non-throwing victory for the Orange and Brown, claiming victory in the high jump.
The shot put was where the Falcons truly dominated, with Lane Anderson, Sierra Brinson, and Jenna Lucas placing first, second, and fourth respectively.
Brinson also placed third in the discus, followed by fifth, seventh, and ninth-place finishes from Grace Bradtmueller, Emma Hoffman, and Kami Baker.
Baker also placed third in the hammer throw behind Fintel’s victory.
The Falcons get back to action in separate groups, at the Hillsdale Mid-Week Multi Meet on Wednesday and Thursday, the Bryan Clay Invitational spanning Wednesday through Friday, and the Virginia Challenge this coming weekend.
