BGSU names Dino Babers as head football coach

The BG football team has announced its new head coach, Dino Babers.

Coach Babers was the head coach at Eastern Illinois and was the runner up for the FCS coach of the year. In 2011 the year before Babers took over at EIU they finished last in the Ohio Valley Conference. In 2012 he led them to a 6-1 record with a first-place finish.

In both of his two seasons with the Panthers his team ranked first in yards per game and points per game. He is taking over an offense with the starting quarterback, running back and a good core of the receivers returning in Chris Gallon, Ryan Burbrink and Ronnie Moore.

Coach Babers will be introduced in a press conference at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Stroh Center. Come back tomorrow for a full story on the hiring of Coach Babers.
