The (International) Noise Conspiracy’s latest album, “Armed Love,” is a politically fueled rock and roll accomplishment.
T(I)NC, has crafted a stunning and unique piece of work. The band fuses their songs with political statements, but since they are genuine, it doesn’t sound like preaching.
The album starts off with an energetic song called “Black Mask.” This song sets the tone of the album. All of the songs that follow it are equally fun, energetic and inspired.
Though most politically oriented songs tend to be boring and more about politics than good music, this isn’t so with the song “Communist Moon,” which reveals the band’s ideology through the lyrics “Let’s all share our dreams under a Communist moon.”
According to the band’s Web site, www.internationalnoise.com, the band formed in Sweden in 1998. Their sound is best described as a combination of Jet, At The Drive-In, and AC/DC.
Legendary music producer Rick Rubin took charge of “Armed Love.” Rubin’s unique blend of slightly polished sound and raw energy makes this album feel fresh every time it’s listened to.
Lead singer Dennis Lyxzen sings with intensity and gives the tracks of “Armed Love” a new, focused energy.
“Armed Love” is an energetic album that is inspired and entertaining. T(I)NC has created a terrific rock and roll album that is politically fueled, but never dull.
