The casting director of a new television reality series is searching the University for a professor to join the cast.
Top reality producer Mike Fleiss is helping to bring back the classic sitcom “Gilligan’s Island” to the reality stage, which is set to premier later this year on TBS.
Next Entertainment is looking for enthusiastic male professors aged 21 to 40 to be casted as the Professor, one of seven real life versions of the show’s original characters which include: A real-life skipper, first mate, millionaire couple, Kansas farm girl, and movie star.
Episodes will be modeled after some of the situations that occurred in the original Gilligan’s Island, and characters will work together to get off the island with their eyes set on a big reward. The show hopes to reach a young, comedy-loving audience.
Fleiss and Next Entertainment have produced several other successful reality shows, such as “The Bachelor”, “The Bachelorette” and “High School Reunion”. They have also hit the big screen producing a box office thriller in last year’s “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”.
