Last Friday featured Paws on the Porch, a fundraising event to support Wood County Humane Society created by Campus Quarters owners and social representative Kara Landin.

Landin explained that every Fall, Campus Quarters hosted a fundraiser for the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio but this summer, they wanted to raise money to support the animals.

“We began to think about things we could this summer and then we realized we had a front porch area that would be great,” said Landin.

Decorated for the occasion, the outdoor porch featured water bowls, outdoor seating, and Duce’s Dawgs, a Toledo-based food truck.

Despite being the inaugural event, plenty of patrons and their furry friends stopped by for a beer and hotdog.

Next Summer patrons can look forward to another night full of fur and fun.

“In the future, we would definitely want to continue doing this,” said Landin.
