An employee of a Bowling Green Japanese restaurant was indicted by a Wood County Grand Jury Wednesday, for allegedly killing two owners and injuring a third coworker.
Xiaosong Wang, an employee of Ninja Hibachi Sushi Steakhouse, was indicted on several charges after being arrested by a BGPD officer Sunday, Sept. 17, in connection to a shooting that killed Bing Luan Lin, 40, and Zhichun Huang, 36. Lin and Huang were both owners at the restaurant, according to the indictment.
Wang is currently being held on a $2 million dollar bond and a federal detainer from U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement.Â
Wang faces multiple murder and criminal charges, and if convicted can face multiple life sentences without parole. He is facing the following charges:
- Two counts of Aggravated Murder.
- Two counts of Murder.
- Three counts of Attempted Murder.
- Three counts of Felonious Assault.
- Two counts of Possessing Criminal Tools..
Wang allegedly fired on three others with a .45 caliber handgun after a dispute arose at the residence where several employees lived according to the indictment.
“Our hearts go out to the families of these men who were killed and wounded in this tragic incident,” Prosecuting Attorney Paul A.Dobson said, “and we are grateful for the quick response and work of the Bowling Green Police Department, which may well have prevented an even greater tragedy. We will continue to work with our other law enforcement partners and the witnesses who have heroically stepped forward to ensure that justice is done here.”
Wang is scheduled to be arraigned in court Thursday, September 28.
