  • They Both Die at the End – General Review
Summer break is the perfect opportunity to get back into reading. Adam Silvera’s (2017) novel, They Both Die at the End, can serve as a stepping stone into the realm of reading. The pace is fast, action-packed, and develops loveable characters. Also, Silvera switches point of view each chapter where narration mainly focuses on the protagonists, […]
  • My Favorite Book – Freshwater
If there’s one book that I believe everyone should read once in their life, it’s my favorite book – Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi. From my course, Queer Literature under Dr. Bill Albertini, I discovered Emezi’s Freshwater (2018). Once more, my course, Creative Writing Thesis Workshop under Professor Amorak Huey, was instructed to present our favorite […]

After a three-game losing streak earlier in the season, the Bowling Green Falcons won their fourth straight game by a final of 97-46 against Ohio Dominican earlier Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons started the game rough, with ODU jumping to an 8-2 lead in the opening minutes of the contest. Later on, after two free throws by Marcus Hill, the Falcons tied the game at 10-10.

After two free throws by freshman EJay Greer, the Falcons jumped to an eight-point lead against Ohio Dom halfway through the first half. Minutes later, a layup by Hill put the Falcons up by double digits, 23-13.

A major slam by Rashaun Agee set the Falcons up comfortably heading into halftime at 39-17, a 22-point lead for the orange and brown.

Things would only get better for Bowling Green in the second half.

The Falcons opened the half with two free throws by Agee, then seconds later, Hill made a three to extend the Falcon lead just under two minutes in the half.

Bowling Green scored 58 points in the second half, with their defense holding ODU to only 32 points in the second half of play.

The Falcons won the contest 97-49, and with that, this game marks BG’s fourth straight win and their highest-scoring game of the season.

Agee led the Falcons in scoring with 17 points on 6-9 shooting, also going 5-6 from the free throw line. As a team, the Falcons shot 45.9% from the field goal range and grabbed 53 rebounds, 19 more than Ohio Dominican.

Bowling Green remains at the Stroh for their next contest against Kansas City on Dec. 16, with tipoff at 1 p.m.
