Bowling Green men’s basketball senior forward Rashaun Agee was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Co-Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Agee shared the honor with Akron senior forward Enrique Freeman.
The award is the first of Agee’s BG career and the second for a Falcon this season, following junior guard Marcus Hill being named MAC Player of the Week on Nov. 27.
Agee dominated this past week as he played arguably the best basketball of his collegiate career and helped lead the Falcons to two MAC victories.
The Chicago, Illinois, native recorded his fifth double-double of the season against Ohio last Tuesday, tallying 12 points and a career-high and team-leading 15 rebounds, the most by a Falcon since Daeqwon Plowden grabbed 18 boards against Miami during the 2020-2021 season.
Out of Agee’s 15 rebounds, he tallied a career-high eight offensive boards. He also finished with a career-high and team-leading six assists against the Bobcats.
Agee followed up his performance against OU with another dominant outing, this time coming against Northern Illinois in his home state on Saturday.
Agee tallied a team-high 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds, finishing one board shy of recording back-to-back double-doubles. He also dished out four assists, leading BG for the second straight contest.
This season, Agee leads the MAC with a 62.9% field goal percentage and ranks third in the conference with 8.6 rebounds per game and 53 offensive boards.
Next up for Agee and the Falcons is a matchup against Miami (OH) on Tuesday, Jan. 16, with tip-off from Oxford set for 7 p.m.
