Dr. Becca Cragin, associate professor of the Department of Popular Culture, is offering POPC 4600-101W: Breaking Bad as a new summer course.
The course is six weeks long during the first summer session, from May 13 to June 21, 2024. It is said to be an introduction to the study of genre texts via the hit television show, “Breaking Bad.”
The course is said to look at its popularity, its reflection of recent television trends such as narrative complexity, anti-heroes and prestige television, as well as its juxtaposition of white masculinity with capitalism and violence, according to the course description.
The course will count for the Multidisciplinary Component requirement.
