BGSU men’s golf finished 18th at the Boilermaker Intercollegiate tournament to end their 2024-25 regular season.
The Falcons finished last out of 18 teams that competed in the 54-hole tournament. Bowling Green shot 306 in round one, 292 in round two, and 300 in round three, which put them at +46 overall.
Senior Darin Hudak was the top finisher for the Orange and Brown as he placed tied for 47th with a score of +4 overall (74-71-72 – 217).
Graduate student Evan Johnson tied for 77th, going +12 (76-73-76 – 225). Tied for 87th was junior Ethan Irvine, as he finished +16 (76-78-75 – 229). In 89th place was senior Zander Gibson as he shot +18 (80-73-78 – 231). Lastly, senior Luke Evans placed 90th, shooting +20 (81-75-77 – 233).
Four other Mid-American teams competed in this tournament, with Ball State being the top finisher out of the MAC as they placed 8th, shooting -3. Toledo then followed by placing 9th, shooting +2. Miami OH was right behind them, finishing in 10th place, shooting +5. Northern Illinois then placed 11th, shooting +9 overall.
The Falcons will now shift their focus onto the Mid-American Conference Championship being held next weekend, from April 27 through the 29, at Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City, Ohio, with Bowling Green being the host school.
