As college students, success is on our minds.
What can we do to set us apart so in the end we find success? What is success?
The definition society gives us is having great wealth or having power over something.
Perhaps the societal definition is incorrect. Maybe success is finding something that gives you satisfaction and pursuing it to the fullest.
Taking every situation, good or bad, and applying yourself yields satisfaction.
If this is true, could we assume that someone who is working full time at Staples is just as successful as someone like Bill Gates?
On the surface, this may seem untrue, but if both of them are happy, doing the best they can and living up to their potential, then success is conquered.
True success does not come easily. The best things in life take the longest to happen and success is no exception. After all, when death appears, they disappear.
Success is about leaving a legacy, even if it only affects one person.
Success has no sentence-long definition, but it is something that should be answered. Define your own success and pursue it.
That is essentially why we are all here, to fulfill that purpose we were born to do.
