In this week’s edition of Take 10, middle distance runner Melissa Krueger was in the hotseat to answer all of those questions everyone is dying to know.
1. If you had to pick a color to describe yourself, what would you be?
“Definitely green. It’s one of those colors that represents having a good time. It reminds me of summer.”
2. If Coach Sehmann raced Freddy Falcon in the mile, who would win?
“The Falcon … only by a beak.”
3. How do you get pumped up for a meet?
“I think about all of the hard work I’ve put into it and go out and try to have a good time with it.”
4. If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?
“I would have the power to see what people are thinking because I think that’d be really interesting. Just for one day.”
5. What is your favorite thing to do outside of track?
“Dancing to techno with my roommate at two in the morning.”
6. What is the highlight of your track career?
“Two things: having the opportunity to run in Division I, and running 4:38 in Columbus in the 1500 during outdoor track last year.” 7. Who is your favorite musician or band?
“My favorite musician is Shania Twain. My favorite band is Lonestar.”
8. Growing up, what was your favorite cartoon?
“I liked Roadrunner and ‘Fraggle Rock.”‘
9. What sound does a falcon make?
“Mine is a baby falcon [sound]: caw caw caw!”
10. What is you favorite restaurant?
“Hands down, Red Lobster.”
