BGSU’s Women’s Swimming team capped off their home schedule Saturday at Cooper Pool against the Akron Zips, dropping the meet 178-84.

Akron controlled much of the meet, but there were some positives for the Falcons as Riley McNichols won the 50 butterfly with a time of 26.1 seconds and Elayna Krupp won the 50 freestyle as well with a 24.21.

The team also notched some second-place finishes, including Ava Vial in the 100 free as well as Emily McNicol in the 100 backstroke.

Meanwhile, the dive team traveled to Buffalo and Julia Januszewska gave the Falcons a spark with a 221.15 in the 1-meter dive as well as a top-five finish by Rayah Blood and a 12th-place finish by Sarah Butt.

Both the swim and dive teams are back in action next Friday as they take on the Oakland Golden Grizzlies in Rochester Hills, Mich.
