Bowling Green baseball’s star freshman pitcher Jackson Miller has announced his transfer to Clemson University of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) via Instagram on June 16. Miller, originally from White Lake, Michigan, is the second Falcon to officially announce his transfer.
Last season, the 6-foot-4 lefty appeared in 14 games for the Falcons and started 10, tied for the team lead.
Miller made his first appearance for the Falcons on Feb. 14, pitching one inning of no-hit baseball against then-No. 4 ranked Georgia Tech.
On May 10, Miller picked up his first collegiate win against Western Michigan. He pitched five scoreless innings, only giving up one hit and striking out a season-high nine batters.
Through 44.2 innings, Miller struck out 48 batters with a 5.84 ERA. His strikeout total was good for second on the team, while his ERA was sixth best among Falcon pitchers.
Before coming to the Falcons, Miller played for Lakeland High School, where he earned all-region honors in 2022 before being named to the all-conference team in 2023. Coming out of high school, Miller was ranked the No. 7 left-handed pitcher in the state of Michigan, according to Prep Baseball Report.
Last season, the Clemson Tigers finished with a record of 31-26, before losing to Notre Dame in the first round of the ACC tournament. They completed the season with the fourth-highest team ERA (4.56) of the 16 ACC programs.
