BGSU Track and Field competed on Friday at the YSU College Invitational, hosted by Youngstown State University, and competed with the best of them, registering multiple first-place finishes and double-digit top 10 finishes

Leading the way for Bowling Green was Brianna Richard, who posted a 7.93 second time to win the 60 meter dash. She also won the long jump, posting a distance of 19-6.25.

Morgan Patterson was right behind Richard in the 60 (8.05, 5th place) and the long jump (19-1.50, 3rd place) Darian Braddix posted a top-ten finish for BGSU in the 400 meter dash, breaking under the minute barrier to record an 8th-place finish of 58.67 seconds.

Over in the triple jump, Bianca Staples posted a top-three finish while finishing with a 38-5.00 score.

The 4×400 relay of Braddix, DaMya Barker, Ashley Kisor and Staples just barely missed winning the event, finishing in second-place with a team time of 3:54:19.

BGSU will compete in two meets next weekend, splitting the squad in half as one portion goes to Penn State University for the Penn State National Open, while the others head to Geneva to compete in the Spire Collegiate Invitational. Both events are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 27.
