The Bowling Green softball team continued the Depaul Dome Invitational with a split on Saturday.

They lost 2-0 to Eastern Kentucky and won 7-2 over Valparaiso.

Day two of the Depaul Dome Invitation kicked off bright and early for the Falcons.

The first game started at 10:30 a.m. against the Colonels.

The Falcons had a tough time waking up the bats, being unable to score any runs in the first game.

A good performance on the mound was taken away as BGSU lost to Eastern Kentucky University 2-0.

Later  in the day, Bowling Green squared off against Valparaiso.

This time, the Falcons’ bats came to life,  bringing across seven runs in the game.

The highlight in this game was the pitching as BG sophomore Scarlet Anderson took a no-hitter all the way to the seventh inning.

However, it was spoiled as the Beacons scored 2 runs on two hits in the bottom frame.

A five-run fourth inning spung the Falcons past Valparaiso.

Outfielders Delaney Davis (2-2, 2R, 2BB) and Makailha Dees (3-4, 2R, 3RBI) both contributed greatly to the run count.

Junior Peyton Dolejs also made her mark on the game with a triple and an error that got BGSU a run on one swing.

The Falcons finish their tripe at Rosemont Illinois as they take on Western Illinois on the final day of the DePaul Dome Invitational on Sunday.
