Foxing Day brings a new sound to the stage under the ‘Mom Rock’ genre.
The band started about two years ago with a lifelong friendship between Adam and Nathan, going back 21 years. Adam met Trent at Owen’s Community College and met Jude at a guitar shop, which turned into friendship and eventual bandmates.
Performing out of Northwest, Ohio we have Adam rocking the guitar, Trent banging the drums, Jude with the vocals and Nathan on the bass.
Although the band has only been together for two years, Adam has been writing songs for six years. When they formed Foxing Day, he pitched some of his written songs to the other members and they were able to record.
Foxing Day describes themselves in the ‘Mom Rock’ genre, dating back to their first show, a Mother’s Day performance.
“We don’t really know what our genre is because we’re not punk, we’re not Indie, definitely not Dad Rock,” said Adam. “We’re here for the moms.”
The band is preparing to release their new album “Already Dead” on June 12. The album has ten songs all recorded, mixed and mastered by the band themselves.
Catch Foxing Day at their next show on June 27 at the Summer Shred Fest in Flint, Michigan. Music starts at 1 p.m.
