Men’s Golf opens spring season in Texas

The spring season kicked off this week for the BGSU Men’s Golf team, who appeared at the University of Houston’s Border Olympics to open up the season in Laredo, Texas.

The Falcons placed towards the bottom half of the rankings, landing in 13th place out of 17 total. 

Leading the Falcons with a score of +7 was Tom Bell, who tied for 29th place.

Finishing second amongst BGSU was sophomore Darin Hudak, who tied for 42nd with a score of +9.

As a team, the Falcons ended the tournament +45, which ultimately earned them 13th. 

The competition in the open featured some household names such as The University of Michigan, Baylor University, among others. Baylor ultimately won the tournament with a total of -8, the only score below zero for the whole open. 

Up next for BGSU is the Ross Collegiate Invite in Southern Pines, N.C., hosted by George Mason.
