BGSU Softball grab win in Gainsville

The Bowling Green softball team completed another split on day one of the T-Mobile Tournament in Gainsville, Fla.

They won the first game against Delaware State 11-1 and lost the second game against the University of Connecticut 13-1.

Bowling Green striked first in game one, pouring in nine runs in the first two innings of the ball game.

In the second inning, BGSU’s Winnie Reid, Hannah Hunt, and Peyton Dolejs all reached base with two outs, capping off a huge five-run second inning.

The Falcons never let up, scoring in every single inning of the game, winning by run rule.

BG catcher Reagan Williamson had a monster game going 3-3 at the plate and bringing in four RBI.

Falcon juniors Sophie Weber and Peyton Dolejs also had notable hitting nights, adding to the 11 runs in five innings.

The Falcons woke the bats up early exploding with 11 runs in just five innings.

BG pitcher Scarlet Anderson went  3.0 I.P. allowing just one unearned run.

Anderson striked out twice and only allow three hits.

Falcon freshman Mackenzie Krafcik entered the game in the fourth inning and pitch two innings in relief allowing no hits and striking out two.

Game two was completely different for the Falcons.

Bowling Green was only able to tally two hits in the shortened contest and only scored one, falling to the Huskies.

The Falcon’s only run came by way of catcher Maycee Godbolt, who singled and scored Weber.

Coach Fenton and the Falcons continue the weekend T-Mobile Tournament as they will face off against the University of Florida Gators.
