The League of Women Voters is hosting a premiere of the new documentary called ‘Trailblazing Women in Ohio Politics’  starting on March 1, according to a press release from Bowling Green State University.

The hour-long documentary is open to the public and will be held at various places across Ohio. After the conclusion of the movie a panel discussion will take place. The panel is moderated by Melissa K. Miller, a BGSU Political Science Professor and expert on American politics.

According to the press release, the documentary will tell the story of both Democratic and Republican women who have surpassed electoral barriers, dating back to the 1960s. ‘Trailblazing Women in Ohio Politics’ was produced locally by WBGU-PBS.

Each woman showcased in the film blazed a trail for all women in elective offices.
