The Bowling Green men’s basketball team (11-20, 5-13 MAC) lost 92-58 to the Ohio Bobcats (18-13, 10-8 MAC).

Ohio finished the first half with a 28-point lead.

OU will enter the upcoming MAC tournament as the fifth seed. They will face Ball State in the first round.

BGSU had no answers to match Ohio’s efficient shooting clinic. The Bobcats shot 49.3% from the floor.

OU forward Dwight Wilson led the team with 20 points on 8/10 FGs and seven rebounds.

Freshman guard Elmore James was not too far behind with 17 points.

The Falcons needed nearly a miracle on Friday to sneak into the MAC tourney.

A BGSU win and losses from Miami (OH) and Central Michigan would have sent Bowling Green to the tourney as the eighth and final seed.

Instead, Miami will hold this spot.

A lackluster shooting night proved too much to overcome for the orange and brown.

The Falcons shot 31.7% from the floor and 19.2% from three.

BG senior Samari Curtis finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.

Falcon forward Ubong Abasi Etim ended with four points and ten rebounds.

The MAC Tournament will begin on March 9.
