Yesterday evening, the Falcon Swim/Dive teams closed out their 2022-2023 season.

Going to the National Invite Championship and the NCAA Diving Zones, several Falcons competed to represent the orange and brown.

For the diving portion, four athletes from Bowling Green qualified to compete in at least one event.

Junior Rayah Blood and sophomore Elise Snyder qualified for both the one-meter and three-meter.

Junior Grace Ellis and freshman Evie Long each qualified for the one-meter as well.

The highest-placing Falcon of the 2023 Diving Zone was Rayah Blood.

Blood, placing 20th in the 3-meter dive, came only two places short of qualifying for the finals with a 264.05 score.

Though none of the Falcons advanced to the finals in their events, Snyder led Bowling Green in the 1-meter event.

Placing 34th out of 55 divers, Snyder dove for a 227.55 score, and Blood followed in 35th place.

Reflecting on the season, Head Coach Perkins talked about his team’s growth.

“Overall, this season was a season of learning, said Perkins. “ I think we became a better team and made progress over the course of it.”
