BGSU Gymnastics concludes regular season with loss to Eastern Michigan

The Bowling Green gymnastics team fell 195.800-195.250 against Eastern Michigan in the last regular meet of the season.

The Falcons trailed the entire meet after falling twice in rotation on one of the bars.

EMU excelled in the bars scoring 49.100 against Bowling Green.

The Falcons finished the event 0.900 points behind EMU.

BG sophomore Katrina Mendez Abolnik tied her PR with 9.900 and tied for number seven in program history in the event.

Despite the loss, Head Gymnastics Coach Kerrie Turner looks forward to preparing for the MAC Tournament.

“We are looking forward to getting back into the gym and preparing for the MAC Championships,” said Turner. “Our team is in peak condition and ready to perform at our highest level next weekend.”

The Falcons head to the MAC Championship Saturday against Kent State at 2 p.m.
