Men’s Golf places eighth at George Mason’s Ross Collegiate

The Bowling Green men’s golf team placed eighth overall in the George Mason Ross Collegiate at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

South Florida ran away with the tournament, finishing it at 15 under par.

The Falcons finished 20 strokes above par.

Junior Brandon Rattray was their best individual result, finishing seventh and two under par.

Rattray tallied 13 birdies, the sixth most in the tournament, and ended up in third place in par-5 scoring with a -9.

The second-best BG golfer was Tom Bell, who ended his tournament three strokes over par to tie for 22nd place.

Bell also had the 11th most pars, carding 34 of them.

Sophomore Darin Hudak finished the tournament in 47th place with a nine-over par.

Fellow sophomore Connor Gdovin finished 54th, shooting 10 over.

Freshman Ethan Irvine rounded out BG’s trip, finishing 21 over and 84th in North Carolina.

BG Golf is back for more on March 26th against Northern Kentucky and Miami (OH). in Oxford, Ohio.
