Marvel, Disney writer to hold book signing Monday

Marc Sumerak will host two public events with the creative writing program Monday. 

A presentation and book signing event will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in University Hall room 307 on Monday, March 27. Books will be available for purchase at the event, according to BGSU’s press release. 

Later that day, Sumerak will hold a Q&A session at 4:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel. 

Sumerak has spent over two decades writing content for brands like Marvel and Star Wars after graduating from BGSU in 2000 with a bachelor in fine arts. 

He is best known for his work on Marvel Comics’ “Power Pack” and the creation of the new Marvel series “Guardians” and “Machine Teen.” 

Sumerak is excited to return to campus and share his experiences with writing for comics, books and video games like “Harry Potter,” “Firefly,” “The Office,” “Back to the Future” and “Ghostbusters.”
