The Bowling Green baseball team picked up a 18-6 win against the Youngstown State Penguins on Wednesday.

The Falcons faced an early 6-2 Penguins lead in the first three innings, needing to climb back up.

However, Bowling Green managed to gain 16 runs throughout the rest of game while Youngstown was left stifled for six straight innings.

With 14 runs in a three inning stretch, the Falcons secured their third consecutive win at home.

A season high 12 walks included three provided by Kyle Gurney, Sam Seidel providing four and Nathan Rose going 3-for-6 with his RBI leading the team at five.

The Falcons logged 18 runs in their contest, with their total being the highest since their 22-run game against St. Louis.

In the eighth inning, Anthony Toma made a pinch hit two-run home run, closing out the game with a solid victory.

At Steller Field this weekend, the Falcons will make their first home conference action, hosting Miami (OH) for a three-game series.

The series will take place March 24-26 at Stellar Field.
