Man indicted in death of pregnant BG woman, police say

Bowling Green Police are charging a man with the murder of a pregnant woman found dead in her apartment on March 30, according to Wood County court documents.

Jimmy David Cole, 29, from Bowling Green, is facing three counts of murder, two counts of second-degree felony assault and tampering with evidence after a week in police custody.

Cole had been arrested in Fostoria for parole violations by the Bowling Green Police Department and Fostoria Police Department on March 31.

Police initially called him a person of interest in the investigation. Officials said Cole was in a relationship with the victim.

He was found and arrested at 1521 N. Countyline St. in Fostoria, according to the Fostoria Police Department.

Alicia Rosa, 23, from Bowling Green, was found dead in her apartment around 4 p.m. Thursday, March 30, on the 300 block of N. Main Street, according to BGPD.

Rosa died from multiple stab wounds, according to police.

The Wood County Prosecuting Attorney said Rosa was pregnant with Cole’s child at the time of her death.

Officials said detectives with BGPD are still investigating the suspicious death alongside the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
