Bowling Green women’s basketball is headed to Carver-Hawkeye Arena to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes. According to D1 WBB Schedules, Iowa will host Bowling Green on December 2 with a minimum guarantee of $35,000 to the Falcons. This will be the first meeting between the two programs.

This will mark the fourth consecutive season Bowling Green has traveled to a Big Ten school during the non-conference portion of the schedule with the first three being Purdue, Ohio State and Indiana.

The Falcons will have a brand new coaching staff led by Fred Chmiel and will have to re-establish their starting lineup after losing four of five from the 2022-2023 starting lineup. Lexi Fleming and Morgan Sharps highlight the preseason roster for Bowling Green.

For Iowa, they will return three of their five starters from last year’s national championship run including National Player of the Year, Caitlin Clark. Clark set the college basketball world on fire last year after averaging 27.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 8.6 assists last season.

While we still await the full schedule release for Bowling Green this is sure to be a marquee non-conference battle and an early test for a new cast of Falcons.
