BG Burgers has closed effective immediately, according to a Facebook post by the owner.
The restaurant, located on 1424 E Wooster St, labeled itself as an “all-American classic burger house” and served the BG community for five years.
In a post addressing the community on the BG Burgers Facebook page, the owner of BG Burgers, Scott Dailey, said changes in leadership led to the restaurant’s closing.
“With the decision and change in leadership of another entity, a third of our business has been pulled from us. We cannot flip the business model we have had for three years upside down overnight,” the post read. “As a small business, we know it is best for us to stop where we are and move on to the next chapter in our lives as we are a family with four children.”
Dailey thanked the BG community for five years of service and asked commenters to share their favorite BG Burgers memories.
“We hope you remember BG Burgers fondly. Please feel free to share kind words, photos, and memories in the comments,” the post said. “Help lift the BG Burger family’s spirits and heavy hearts. Thank you!”

Oh no! That place had the best burgers, and even gluten-free buns.
