BGSU football senior fullback Leone “Leo” Kemp and former Falcon—freshman wide receiver Caleb Goodloe—were back at the Bowling Green Municipal Court Monday, facing first degree misdemeanor assault charges from a fight at Ziggy’s in November.
Kemp pleaded guilty to a lowered charge of disorderly conduct, a minor misdemeanor. He was fined $150 dollars, avoiding a possible $1,000 fine and a maximum of 180 days in jail from the original charge.
Kemp’s attorney, Rodney Fleming from BGSU Student Legal Services, noted that Kemp had completed anger management courses and community service.
Meanwhile, Goodloe rescheduled a pretrial on March 16 at 10 a.m., waiving his right to a speedy trial. Fleming, who also serves as Goodloe’s attorney, stated that a resolution will be expected at that time.
Goodloe, who is enrolled at the University of North Dakota after transferring, appeared in court in a BGSU polo.
The third player accused of assault—junior wide receiver Brennan Ridley—will appear in court on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
