The alleged victim of a sexual assault that took place off campus admitted to fabricating her story during the continuing investigation by the Bowling Green Police Division.

Sarah Elizabeth Stawiarski, a 22-year-old student, was cited on the charge of falsification, a first degree misdemeanor, and will appear in the Bowling Green Municipal Court.

Stawiarski reported she was abducted and sexually assaulted while entering her apartment building within the 400 block of E. Court St. during the late evening of April 1.

She made the report on April 5 and described her attackers as two white males that forced her into a car and sexually assaulted her while driving around.
