BGSU police training held on campus

There will be an increased police presence on campus today and tomorrow (July 9 and 10) as BGSU police will host training for area offices. The training will focus on effective response to active threats.

According to a BGSU campus police, here’s what to expect:

  • Training will held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
  • The course will include a classroom portion hosted at the CPOB on the morning of July 9, followed by practical exercises at Kreischer A/B from July 9 to 10.
  • While the majority of practical exercises will be conducted inside Kreischer, moments of instruction will take place in the area immediately outside the building. There will be clear postings in the area to advise that police training is in progress.
  • There will be an increased police presence on campus.
