Annual Bowling Green tree lighting ceremony

Bowling Green community members are invited to kick off the holiday season on Friday, Nov. 18, by celebrating the annual tree lighting ceremony in front of the Wood County District Public Library.

The ceremony will begin at 6:45 p.m., with a variety of performances and guest appearances planned by the partner organizations. Mayor Mike Aspacher, alongside an unknown special assistant, will flip the switch to light the tree and signal the beginning of the 2022 holiday season for Bowling Green.

After the ceremony concludes, viewers will be welcome to a variety of refreshments in the library provided by Biggby Coffee, Qdoba and Kabob It. There will also be a holiday sing-along.

The ceremony is organized by a partnership with Downtown Bowling Green S.I.D., the Wood County District Public Library, the City of Bowling Green and Bowling Green High School.
