Senior defenseman Zach Vinnell has signed with the Indy Fuel of the East Coast Hockey League.

The Indy Fuel is the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks.

The Alberta native joined the Falcons this past season, previously playing at Merrimack College.

During his three-year tenure with the Warriors, he tallied up eight goals and 25 assists, totaling 33 points in 84 games.

With the Falcons, he racked up one goal and 19 assists for a total of 20 points in 36 games this season.

Vinnell lead all Bowling Green defensemen in both points and assists.

Additionally, he ranked 9th in the CCHA for assists and 14th in the conference for blocked shots.

Head Coach Ty Eigner showed his appreciation for Vinnell’s role on defense.

“We are really happy for Zach,” Eigner said. “He came into our program this year and made an immediate impact on the blue line for us.”
