Mens Golf finishes second at Tom Tontimonia Invitational
BGSU Athletics

Bowling Green Men’s Golf earned a second-place finish at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted in Westlake, Ohio on Monday and Tuesday.

Butler University won the invitational with a score of -29, a 12-stroke difference from the second-place finishers. Tied with only IUPUI, BG’s team score of -17  was enough to get them second place in the 17-team tournament.

The Falcons had three players who finished under par, two of whom finished top 10 out of the entire field of 84 players.

Leading the way for the Falcons was Darin Hudak, who finished fourth overall with a -6 score between both days. More notable Falcon performances came from Tom Bell, who shot -5, and senior Brandon Rattray, who shot -4.

For both Bell and Rattray, these were career-best performances.

Finishing 40th overall was Brady Pevarnik, who shot +3, followed by sophomore Ethan Irvine, who shot +6,  putting him in 59th.

The Falcons look to carry this momentum with them to their next tournament on Oct. 16-17, when they compete at the Dayton Flyer Invitational.
