Wednesday, Feb. 14

MLK Jr. Fun Facts Trivia

BGSU Votes will be tabling from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union (BTSU), connecting students with a variety of voting resources and playing spin-the-wheel trivia.

Thursday, Feb. 15 

Democracy Fair 

BGSU Votes is hosting a Democracy fair in the BTSU from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where students can make a voting plan, connect with resources and learn about local civic engagement.

Voting History Trivia

BGSU Votes is testing the community’s knowledge of voting history by hosting a trivia game in the Offenhauer Towers lobby from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 16 

Weird Voting Trivia

For the final tabling event of the week, BGSU Votes will be set up in the Kriesher Compton Darrow lobby from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. where students can once again play spin-the-wheel trivia. 

Civic Trivia Night

To close out “I <3 Democracy Week” BGSU Votes is putting students’ knowledge to the test, by hosting a trivia night where teams compete on questions related to civic engagement. There will be prize opportunities available.

Blake Pierce is serving as the 2023 - 2024 News Content Director for BG Falcon Media. He is pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Journalism with a specialization in Public Relations and a minor in Music Industry.

Previous Work

Pierce has reported for BG Falcon Media and specifically written articles for the weekly BG News. Pierce's favorite article reported for BG Falcon Media was on the increase of Electric Vehicles in the Bowling Green community. The article can be found here.  He also completed a promotions internship with BG Falcon Radio, organizing events and campaigns to spread awareness of the organization on campus. Pierce currently works with WTVG-TV, beginning in the Summer of 2023 as a Digital Content Producer. Some of his work with the organization can be found here.
