Bowling Green tennis took a tough loss Friday evening, losing to Cleveland State 6-1.

The match opened with the Vikings taking the first two double games against the Falcons. The Falcons bounced back in the third double matchup when seniors Lucy Furness and Hannah Neuman won their matchup 7-5.

Both Furness (2-6,3-6)  and Neuman (1-6,1-3) would lose their singles matchups as five out of the six singles competitors for the Falcons would lose their matchups to the Vikings.

The only singles win for BGSU Friday evening came from freshman Brynn Chaffee. For her third singles win as a Falcon, Chaffee won her matchup in straight sets (6-4, 6-2)

Freshman Tia Clemens came up just short in her singles match, losing in a third set after splitting the first two. (5-7, 6-4, 0-1 (5) )

With this loss the Falcons record on the season falls under .500 with the overall record of 3-4.

They will look to bounce back next weekend as they have back to back games in Indiana, facing Indiana Tech Friday Feb. 23 and Holy Cross College Saturday Feb. 24.
