From Sunday to Tuesday, the Bowling Green women’s golf team squared off with 10 other schools in the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in Sevierville, TN.

The Falcons took first overall, earning their first outright win of the season with a score of 919 as well as a 12-stroke lead over host and runner up, Tennessee Tech.

Kayla Davis led the Falcons with a 232 score over the three rounds, tying for fifth place overall individually. Davis was followed up by sophomore Ava O’Sullivan with a 233 stroke result, good for a tie for eighth overall.

While Tennessee Tech had the leading two individual performers with freshman Chloe Griffith and senior Ainsley Simms, the rest of the team couldn’t put an individual in the top 20, leading to their second place team finish behind BG.

Next for the Falcons is the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, hosted in Bowling Green.
