Bowling Green, OH – Bowling Green’s new Men’s Hockey Head Coach Dennis Williams press conference at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio

More uncertainties are lifted today in the Falcon Hockey realm as BGSU Athletics announced that new head coach Dennis Williams will keep the previous assistant coaching staff for the 2024-25 season.

In March 2024, Ty Eigner was relieved of his position as team head coach. In the same month, Williams was hired as the ninth head coach in BG hockey history and now has elected to keep staff members Curtis Carr, Stavros Paskaris, Dylan Shoen, and Buddy Powers. Williams issued this statement regarding the decision;

“We are really excited to be keeping our staff in place moving forward. Curt (Carr), Stavros (Paskaris), and Dylan (Shoen) have done a tremendous job during the transition and have demonstrated great loyalty to BGSU hockey. All three have garnered the utmost respect from our players and alumni. Their commitment to seeing our players succeed not only on the ice but in the classroom has been evident since day one. I look forward to working with all three as we begin to build for the 2024-25 season.”

Soon, inside the newly renovated Slater Family Ice Arena, Falcon fans will return to inhabit the seats as many familiar faces return to inhabit the ice. From the team and coaching staff last year (33 contributors), the orange and brown lost only three men, Eigner, Spencer Kersten, and Josh Nodler, bringing back 26 players and four assistant coaches.

All 33 men will meet in Bowling Green for the home opener against Ohio State on Saturday, Oct. 26.
